Machel Lawrence Scarborough

Machel Lawrence Scarborough passed away February 12, 2025 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 61. He was a resident of Mineola, Texas. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Pine Grove Cemetery, 5632 FM-1818, Diboll, Texas 75941 officiated by James Burchfield.

Machel was born August 5, 1963 in Lufkin, Texas to Robert Taylor and Linda Lewis. He graduated from Diboll High School and went on to become a Leather Worker and Saddle Maker.

Machel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Bug Scarborough of Diboll; maternal grandparents, W.A. and Opal Jones of Lufkin and his father, Skeeter Scarborough of Diboll.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheyenne Scarborough of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son, Tanner Scarborough and life partner, Christina Parker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son, Colter Scarborough and wife, Christina of San Angelo, Texas; mother, Linda Lewis of Tyler, Texas; brother, Marvin Scarborough of Lindale, Texas; sister, Tammy Malone and her husband, Larry of New Harmony, Texas; grandsons, Titus and Atticus Scarborough of San Angelo; aunt, Georgia Jones of Mabank, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
