Guadalupe Negrete passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 81. Guadalupe was born March 12, 1944 in Bradshaw, West Virginia to Salvador and Carmen (Gonzalez) Negrete. She was raised in Longview, Texas and worked beside her husband in their construction company for thirty plus years.
Her most treasured past time was to be with her family, she had a nickname for everyone. Guadalupe loved to travel to visit her family, whether it was a short drive in Longview or long distance driving out to farther regions of the U.S. Going to Six Flags was one of her favorite activities and shopping at the antique markets as well.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents, Carmen G. Negrete and Salvador V. Negrete both of Lonview; son, Salvador "Dooley" Mauney of Longview; daughter, Carmen C. Navarro of Longview; grandson, Miguel Vega of Longview; sisters, Mary Sawyer and Terry N. Wyatt both from Lakeland, Florida and Carmen N. Bell of Hallsville and niece, Sherry Smith of Chalkhill, Texas.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Raul H. Herrera; daughter, Angela (Larry) Moore of Flint, Texas; sisters, Juanita Eiker of Dallas, Texas and Sarah Hiltzman of Longview, Texas; grandson, Joseph (Juanita) Crews of Marshall, Texas; great grandson, Joseph Crews, Jr. of Marshall; great granddaughters, Alyssa Crews and Elleanna Gonzales of Marshall; granddaughter, Fonda (Gutie) Tornes of Longview, Texas; great grandsons, Johnathon and Isiac Tornes of Longview; granddaughter, Miranda (Deon) Baggett of Longview, great granddaughter, Haley Applewhite of Longview; great grandson, Chance Applewhite of Longview; grandson, Anthony Smedsrud of Hill City, South Dakota; granddaughter, Veronica Vega of Little Rock, Arkansas; granddaughter, Bridget (David) Garcia of Longview, Texas; great granddaughters, Stacey and Katalaya Garcia of Longview; great grandson, Brody Garcia of Longview; great gransdson, Miguel (Jillian) Vega, great great grandson Miguelito Vega both from Longview, and several nieces and nephews along with friends and extended family.

Funeral Service 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 1876 Chapel at Walnut Grove, 10200 FM 344 E., Whitehouse, Texas 75791 with Chaplain Carey Ponder officiating and under the direction of Brosang Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
