Mrs. Edna Mae Stokes Fowler graced us for 93 years with her beauty, elegance and warm heart. If you were privileged enough to have had the pleasure of her company, you never forgot her. She left a part of herself with everyone she touched.

Edna passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 in Tyler, Texas. She was born April 28, 1931 in Chicken Feathers, Texas to Alma and John D. Stokes.

Edna was preceded in death by her three brothers; Jack Stokes, Truman Stokes, and J.C. Stokes and one great grandson; Marlowe Oliver Shinn.

She is survived by her husband of 75 years and love of her life, Glenn A. Fowler; her son, Greg (Sheree) Fowler of Emerald Bay; daughter, Glynna Fowler-Schlesinger of New York; sister, Vivian Preston, who is her only surviving sibling; seven grandchildren, Candis Gleason, Gunner Fowler, Whitney Shinn, Britney Buhman, Hunter Schlesinger, Tyler LeFauve, and Harley Rosenblum; and nine great grandchildren, Isabella Ayers, Samantha Ayers, Henley Shinn, Theodore Shinn, Florence Shinn, Fia Shinn, Grady Fowler, Estella Schlesinger, and Roscoe Schlesinger.

A private graveside service for Edna Mae Fowler, will be held at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at a later date under the direction of Brosang Family Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna's memory can be made to Hospice of East Texas Homeplace, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701.
