David Alan Rowe Sr.

David Alan Rowe, Sr., age 72, of Chandler, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2024.

David was born on May 24, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Elaine Rowe. He grew up in Richardson, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin.

David is remembered for the love he had for his family, his work ethic, his intelligence, and his sense of humor. He worked as a software engineer and entrepreneur, creating his own company, Music Quest, and eventually selling it to Opcode Systems before his retirement. He was passionate about technology, finance, politics, and baseball - we are glad he got to see the Rangers win a World Series before he passed!

He is survived by his children, Meredith Leanne Semler, David Alan Rowe, Jr. and Michael Rowe; his ex-wife, Deborah Rowe; sister, Jeri Rowe; grandchildren, Jeffrey Semler, Patrick Semler, Ben Semler, Cate Semler, Claire Semler and Jillian Rowe and cousin, Jim Gaskin. David was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elaine Rowe; his beloved aunt, Lois Davidson and cousin, Gary Gaskin.

In David's honor and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
