In Loving Memory of Anne Cecilia Castoro
It is with deep sorrow and great love that we announce the passing of Anne Castoro - Mom, Nonna, and friend - a woman whose humor, faith, and fiercely independent spirit made her truly one of a kind.
Born and raised in Queens, NY, Anne grew up surrounded by the love and care of her mother and extended family after the loss of her father at a young age. She attended Saint Mary's, an all-girls Catholic school, where she developed the strong values and deep faith that would guide her throughout her life. A devout Catholic, Anne had a special devotion to Our Lady and remained deeply committed to her faith, attending the Latin Mass for as long as she was able to at Saint Isidore Parish in Riverhead, NY.
Beyond her faith and family, Anne built an impressive career as a premier real estate agent on Eastern Long Island. With her keen eye for properties, sharp business acumen, and warm personality, she helped countless families find their perfect homes. Her dedication and integrity earned her a stellar reputation in the industry, and she took great pride in her work, forming lasting connections with clients and colleagues alike.
Anne was a woman of adventure. She led a colorful life. She spent her final years in East Texas to be closer to family. She was a bit of a fish out of water, but managed to charm even East Texans with her regaling stories of her younger years. She had a sharp wit and striking blue eyes that reflected her vibrant spirit. She was also immensely proud of her Italian and German heritage, often joking that her fiery passion and stubborn determination came from both sides of the family.
Above all, Anne was mother to Christopher of whom she was greatly proud, and the adoring grandmother of Adelaide. She loved nothing more than watching Adelaide dance, her smile never brighter than when she saw her granddaughter perform.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James Castoro. She is survived by her beloved son, Christopher, his wife, Kaley, and her cherished granddaughter, Adelaide. She also leaves behind other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
Anne's legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A Funeral Mass and intimate memorial celebration will be offered at a date and location TBD.
